Local guides
A local's guide to pest control in Clovis
Old Town's mature trees, the newer tracts off Shepherd, and everything in between. What each part of Clovis deals with and why it matters.
We are based on Hoblitt Ave, so Clovis is home turf. After enough years of driving these streets you start to recognize pest pressure by neighborhood before you even get out of the truck.
Old Town and the surrounding older blocks
Mature trees, tile and shake roofs, detached garages, and a lot of original construction. That combination is roof rat country. Branches touching the roofline give them a highway, and old attic vents give them a door.
If you live here, the highest-value thing you can do has nothing to do with spray. Trim branches back three feet from the roof, screen the vents, and close the gap where the garage roof meets the wall.
The Shepherd and Herndon corridor
Newer builds, tighter envelopes, but heavy landscaping and a lot of drip irrigation. Ants dominate here. Argentine ants trail along the slab edge, follow the irrigation line, and come in under the sliding door track.
The fix is exterior and seasonal, not interior. Once we get the perimeter and the bed lines on a schedule, kitchen calls basically stop.
Harlan Ranch and the east side tracts
Newer neighborhoods next to open ground and ag land. That edge is where field mice, earwigs, and occasional scorpion calls come from. Fence line and garage perimeter work does most of the heavy lifting.
What everybody in Clovis deals with
- Spiders in the eaves from June through October, without exception
- Argentine ants any time irrigation is running
- Wasps under patio covers and in wall voids by midsummer
- Rodents once the nights drop below sixty
Zip codes we cover most
93611, 93612, 93613, and 93619, plus the unincorporated pockets between Clovis and Fresno. If you are out toward Sanger or Fowler we cover that too, same technician, same schedule.
What good local service looks like
The same person every time. Somebody who knows your dog is in the side yard, remembers you had rats above the garage two winters ago, and checks that spot without being asked.
That is the whole reason we run a dedicated-technician model instead of routing whoever is closest. Local knowledge lives in the technician, not the software.
Getting started
Most Clovis homes start with an initial service that includes a full exterior treatment, eave de-webbing, and a walkthrough of the entry points we want to seal. From there it is a recurring visit on the schedule that matches your pressure.
